What is the NM Out-of-School Time Network (NMOSTN)?
The New Mexico Out-of-School Time Network is a project of the New Mexico Forum for Youth in Community (the Forum) focused on:
- Building a diverse statewide afterschool network.
- Garnering the resources necessary to support NM out-of-school time opportunities for school-age children.
- Assessing breadth and depth of out-of-school time programming in NM and tying to varied program supports.
- Influencing NM State policy and legislation as defined by out-of-school time network stakeholders from across NM.
- Identifying out-of-school time indicators of well-being for NM children and youth connected to Children's Cabinet outcomes.
- Identifying additional partners with a role to play.
- Being present to discuss afterschool challenges and promising/best practices.
- Contributing to the "story" of why afterschool may not be fully accessible to all NM children and youth.
