YouthWorks is an evolving youth development organization developed four and a half years ago to address the lack of a youth development agency in Santa Fe. Programs include classroom based prevention education, intervention services such as:

• violence intervention for promotion of school campus peace

• conflict resolution services

• crisis intervention and peer mediation training

• counseling services - one on one, group counseling, gender and age based counseling services

• paid employment training with job-outplacement assistance

• youth advocacy

• whole-school leadership activities

• events scholarship programs and emergency funds for youth in crisis of school drop-out;

YouthWorks! engages directly with the Santa Fe Juvenile Probation Office to assist youth in need, and often employ youth who have been adjudicated or are in the process of adjudication.

YouthWorks! holds a number of contracts with the Santa Fe Public Schools for teacher trainings on proper classroom management, prevention education curriculum, violence prevention training, bullying prevention, mediation training and supervision, and other programs such as summer school remediation, suspension programs that feature YouthWorks! Life Skills training.

YouthWorks! participates on numerous school and community policy setting panels and task forces to advocate for the health, welfare and fair treatment of children and youth in the area.
